What would that feel like?
Writing a quality review has a lot more involved then just writing, ‘great product’, ‘totally cool stuff’, or ‘ya I enjoy it’… I see a lot of reviews like that out there. These reviews really don’t help people, and the point of a quality review is to help people. It is to give people the other side of the coin, the information that may not be in the product description they saw online.
If you want to write a quality review you should create a template for yourself, and then use that template every time you write a review. This will help organize your thoughts, insure you covered everything, and create a more unified look to your site as you continue to write more and more reviews.
Some things you want your review to include.
Name of the product:
Overall Rating:
Price:
Manufacturer / Owner:
Website:
Introductions: write a brief introduction of what the product your reviewing.
Pros / Cons: here you want to be honest about the good and bad things of this product.
Depending on what products you are reviewing you can also talk about the age group and who its for, any training or support this product may offer, the price if there are different pricing options, and what ever else you feel would be an important part of your review.
Verdict / Final Thoughts: this is where you will summarize all the things you talked about in the review, your final thoughts of the product and any recommendations you might have.
Although your original intention to start writing reviews was to take advantage of the money making potential, the important thing is to offer a quality review. You wont become an authority of your niche and someone who’s opinions people trust if they feel like you are just trying to sell them something, after all that is why they sought out reviews in the first place.
And one more thing, before you post your review make sure you added any affiliate links you might have for the product…
